The Utah Pest Management Association is the first industry association dedicated exclusively to the growth and development of Utah’s pest management industry.
The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) is proud to announce the formation of the Utah Pest Management Association (UPMA), the state’s first association dedicated exclusively to supporting Utah’s pest management professionals (PMPs) through training, education, professional development, public policy advocacy, and market growth.
“Utah’s pest management industry is comprised of 1,466 companies employing 5,873 registered technicians and countless support staff. Utah’s pest management industry plays a vital role in safeguarding public health, and protecting Utah’s businesses, while also generating jobs and bolstering our overall economy,” said Andrew Richardson, CEO of Edge Pest Control and president of UPMA. “The formation of UPMA will ensure that PMPs throughout our great state have access to world-class leadership and premier training resources that will help our industry operate with unmatched professionalism and unrivaled service.”
As part of the state association’s mission, UPMA will provide local and regional PMPs with the tools needed to effectively grow their business, comply with state and federal regulations, and keep up-to-date with the latest integrated pest management practices. The association’s public policy advocacy will ensure that state and federal legislators understand the concerns and issues for Utah’s PMPs.
