NPMA Releases 2017 Annual Report

The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) released its flagship report, The Future is Bright: 2017 Annual Report, this week. The report chronicles the successes of the industry within the past year, promising a very bright outlook for the future.

“Our members are the face of our industry,” said NPMA CEO Dominique Stumpf. “Our industry is thriving, and what they do in their own businesses reflects on our industry and what we do as an industry reflects on them.”

Much of the last year was spent building upon the foundation of the strategic plan set in 2016, to include providing our members with the tools they need to grow, establishing ourselves as an authority on public health, promoting the industry to consumers, and proactively engaging with policy makers.

In 2017 alone, NPMA has made significant progress. The number of QualityPro accredited companies grew by 10 percent, more than 400 new member companies were welcomed to NPMA, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and NPMA collaborated on spreading awareness of public health issues, and the NPMA public policy team worked hard to enact legislative and regulatory change on Capitol Hill.

“Working in the pest management industry is something we can, and should, all be proud of – we simply could not have achieved all of this without the support of our members,” continued Stumpf. “I truly believe the best is yet to come.”
