The National Pest Management Association (NPMA’s) Recruitment and Retention Committee held its first in-person meeting during PestWorld 2018 in Orlando, Florida. In an industry that is rapidly changing and growing, the recruitment and retention committee was founded to focus on attracting and retaining talent in pest management roles.
“Finding and retaining talent is one of the greatest challenges our industry faces.” said Dominique Stumpf, CEO, NPMA. Earlier this year, NPMA started the Recruitment and Retention Committee with the goal of bringing together human resource (HR) professionals from the pest management industry and providing them with the resources and skills needed to recruit, hire, train and retain talent. During the committees first meeting at PestWorld, its mission statement was established. “The mission of the Recruitment and Retention Committee is to help ensure continual industry growth and assist all NPMA members in attracting, developing and retaining top talent by sharing practices and resources to achieve success.”
The committee is doing just that through the website: workforce.npmapestworld.org. The workforce website provides the tools and resources needed to help growing companies recruit, hire, train and retain employees. The website is a one-stop-shop for NPMA resources that relate to recruitment and retention such as networking opportunities, industry job postings, market research, employee training, and human resource consulting.
