PPMA’s “Hindsight” PSA has won a Silver Telly and “Reality Check” PSA a Bronze Telly
The Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA), which serves as the public outreach arm of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), announced today its “Hindsight” and “Reality Check” public service announcements have been awarded a Silver and Bronze Telly, respectively, in the Regional TV-Public Service and Social Responsibility category in the 41st Annual Telly Awards. The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks and production companies, including Dow Jones, Duplass Brothers Productions, Complex Networks, A&E Networks, Hearst Media, ESPN Films, RYOT, Vice+ and Vimeo.
The “Hindsight” and “Reality Check” PSAs produced by PPMA focus on the health risks associated with pests that homeowners may not be aware of, such as mosquito-borne illnesses, Lyme disease and other illnesses from ticks, asthma and allergy symptoms triggered by cockroaches, biting bed bugs and the threats rodents pose to both health and home.
“We are thrilled to have our PSAs recognized in the 41st annual Telly Awards,” said Cindy Mannes, executive director of PPMA. “An integral part of PPMA’s mission is to educate the public about the health threats associated with pests and the vital role pest control professionals play in protecting not only our health, but our homes, families and businesses as well. These PSAs expertly convey this information to audiences nationwide, and we’d like to thank the Telly Awards for recognizing this important work.”
PPMA’s PSA program is done in partnership with Center City Film & Video, a Philadelphia-based video production company. The spots are distributed to consumer audiences as NPMA-branded campaigns and air on TV and radios stations across the U.S. using donated inventory from PSA Directors and their respective networks.
